Easter is fast approaching so I thought it would be a nice idea to create some images to give you as a little Easter present. I was going to create printables but then decided to go a bit more high-tech and have created phone wallpaper images instead. I hope you like them and they help to remind you that Christ is Risen as we lead up to Easter!

I have made four images for you to choose from, three are taken from Bible verses and one is from a song by Hillsong.

Col 2:13-15 Phone Wallpaper. Christ has nailed our sins the cross

The first reference I have chosen is taken from Col 2:13-15. This is one of the verses from my ‘Were You There?’ Scripture Plan. The whole passage reads:

When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having cancelled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. 15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.

The next quote is found in Matthew 28:6; Mark 16:6; and Luke 24:6: He is not here, he is risen!

This is the main cry of the resurrection, words often shared at Easter.

This is the Gospel message!

This is the good news!

My third design is a bit different. Instead of choosing verses of Scripture I have chosen lyrics from ‘What a Beautiful Name’ by Ben Fielding & Brooke Ligertwood from Hillsong.

I first song this song at the SISTAS festival a few years ago and it has been my favourite worship song ever since!

And finally I have chosen the most well-known verse from the Bible – John 3:16.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

I loved the background image I chose because it was a pretty image, but also because it spoke to me of love, eternal life (through new seeds) and spreading the word throughout the world.
